The Oxford English dictionary (OED) recently made headlines when it announced that its updated version includes the internet slang words OMG and LOL. Last week, the Collins Official Scrabble Words book announced the addition of the words Facebook, fansite and webzine. It’s official: the Web has effectively changed the English language.
