Utah Virtual Academy is an accredited, tuition-free online public school for Utah students in grades K-12. The school offers more than 90 core, elective, honors, and AP courses. Necessary Education MaterialsAll the textbooks and instructional materials that are needed to complete the program are provided by the school. Each K?6 family will be loaned a computer system (including computer, printer, and software) to support the learning process. These computer systems are instructional property and must be returned when the student leaves the Utah Virtual Academy. We will arrange for technical support and troubleshooting for these systems. Middle and High school students will be responsible for providing their own computer system that meets the minimum specifications necessary to access the K?? Online School (OLS) while attending Utah Virtual Academy.

The debate on the importance and value of standardized test scores has raged across the country for the better part of the decade. On one hand, a standardized test is one of the easiest and simplest ways to compare and contrast the success of students in certain schools and school districts. On the other hand, some students’ academic abilities do not shine through on tests.
