It’s been said that music tames the savage beast. Studies have shown that musical training can lead to enhanced motor and auditory skills in small children. Even the act of listening to music, especially classical music, is widely believed to be good for brain development in early childhood. Studies have shown that music can help dementia patients become more alert, attentive, cooperative and engaged. But what about the rest of us? Can listening to music help us learn?
